I'm incredibly honored to have my image McKenzie Muscle on display at the Hoya Filter USA booth at the PhotoPlus expo in New York City. This image was taken from a beautiful spot on the McKenzie River in Oregon using a Hoya Polarizing filter. I've used Hoya filters since the beginning and this year became one of their Brand Ambassadors. I would not endorse a product I did not feel strongly about so you can trust me when I say their filters are excellent tools to help you meet your photographic vision.

I'm extremely pleased to announce that I am now a Brand Ambassador for Hoya Filter USAI don't normally endorse photography products publicly, but it was an incredibly easy choice to join forces with Hoya. I've used many of their UV, Polarizing, and ND filters for several years now and have always been impressed by both the quality and performance.  It's safe to say that Hoya has been vital in helping me craft my artistic vision. I look forward to this new partnershipMore to come!

I was honored to learn my image Silken was selected as a finalist in the Marin Magazine 2017 cover contest. This was my third time entering the competition and the second time that an image was selected as a finalist.  If you are interested in purchasing a print of this image please click here to go to my online store.

My image "Contours" received Honorable Mention in the Landscape category of the 2017 Tuolumne County Arts Alliance InFocus Photography Competition.  As always, I'm very proud to be recognized. My past entries have won Best of Show, 1st place, and 3rd place in their respective divisions.

I'm proud to announce my image "Wicked" was awarded Runner Up in the Black and White category of the 2016 USA Landscape Photographer of the Year competition. In addition my image "Green Dream" (shown below) was Highly Commended in the Classic View category.  This is the preeminent landscape photography competition in the United States and I'm incredibly humbled that my images placed so well considering the high level of competition and pedigree of the judges.

My image "Natural Collection" was selected as Picture of the Year for 2015 by the California State Parks Foundation. This is the second time I've been honored by the CSPF with a Picture of the Year selection.  In 2013 my image "The Light Show" won for that year.  I've been a supporter of CSPF for several years now and often allow usage of my images to support their advocacy campaigns. They do a lot of great work to support California's grossly underfunded state parks, so if you are a park supporter (you should be!), check out their website to find out what you can do to help.

Want to see a collection of my images up close and personal? If so, several of my images are on display, and available for purchase, at the Petaluma Wellness Arts Center in my hometown of Petaluma, California.  Currently, I have twelve metal prints hanging (some of which are displayed above) in sizes ranging from 16"x24" to 24"x36".  So far the response from their clients has been very positive.  So, if you are local or just visiting the area, make plans to stop by.  While you are at it I highly recommend you take a look at many of the services they offer at the center and don't forget to tell them I sent you!

My images "Riding the Wave", "Endpoint" and "wicked" were selected in consecutive years for Outdoor Photographer Magazines Black and White issue (August  2013, 2014, and 2015 respectively).  All three images were selected as one of the best black and white "assignment" submissions.  The images made the print version of the magazine which is always a great honor.  To see the online articles click on any of the images above.
